Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, in what seemed to be a pointed critique aimed at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has raised concerns about the integrity of the Electoral Voting Machines (EVMs), alleging manipulation. During his speech, Gandhi remarked, “The soul of the King resides in the EVM, as does the essence of every institution in the country, including the ED, CBI, and Income Tax department.”
Gandhi went on to share a narrative involving a senior leader from Maharashtra who purportedly left the party and expressed remorse to Sonia Gandhi, citing an inability to confront the prevailing power dynamics and a fear of legal repercussions. He emphasized that numerous others have encountered similar situations, indicating a broader issue within the political landscape.
Speaking on the challenges faced, Gandhi invoked Hindu terminology, mentioning the concept of “Shakti” and asserting that they are contending with a formidable force. He emphasized the necessity of their journey, lamenting the purported lack of media attention towards critical national issues such as unemployment, inflation, farmer grievances, and the Agniveer issue.
