The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted searches across four states and one Union Territory on Monday as part of its investigation into the terrorist-gangster nexus case, according to sources familiar with the matter. Extensive search operations were carried out at 30 locations in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and the Union Territory of Chandigarh, the sources informed news agency PTI.

An NIA spokesperson had previously stated that the agency has been actively employing various targeted strategies in recent months to disrupt and dismantle terror and mafia networks along with their support infrastructure. These efforts include the attachment and seizure of properties believed to be derived from “proceeds of terrorism.”
