On the eve of the 75th Republic Day, President Droupadi Murmu will lead India in a grand celebration at Kartavya Path, featuring a 90-minute parade highlighting the nation’s rising military strength and rich cultural heritage. French President Emmanuel Macron will be the chief guest, with an emphasis on showcasing women’s power and democratic values.
The parade will showcase home-grown weaponry and military equipment, including an all-women tri-services contingent. Lieutenants Deepti Rana and Priyanka Sevda, leading the Swathi radar and Pinaka rocket system, mark a historic moment. The event will feature women musicians and pilots, emphasizing ‘Nari Shakti.’
The Republic Day parade, commencing at 10:30 am, will begin with Prime Minister Narendra Modi paying tributes at the National War Memorial. President Murmu and President Macron will arrive in a traditional buggy after 40 years, followed by the unfurling of the national flag and a 21-gun salute.
The parade, commanded by Lieutenant General Bhavnish Kumar, will include a French Armed Forces contingent and a flypast by the Indian Air Force. Displays will feature the 61 Cavalry, mechanized columns, and key military equipment. The celebrations will conclude with a spectacular flypast by 46 Indian Air Force aircraft, including indigenously-built Tejas aircraft in formation.

Additionally, over 260 women personnel from CRPF, BSF, and SSB will showcase ‘Nari Shakti’ with daredevil stunts during a motorcycle display. Sixteen state and Union territory tableaux, along with nine from central ministries, will add cultural vibrancy to the parade.
