Union Minister Anurag Thakur takes a swipe at the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for focusing on religious events, particularly the ‘Sundarkand Path’ in Delhi. Thakur accused AAP of using these events to distract from the Enforcement Directorate’s summons to Arvind Kejriwal. He also claimed that the AAP neglected Hindu temples and leaders during its time in Delhi.

Thakur pointed out that Kejriwal avoided ED summons related to the Delhi liquor policy case and accused the party of corruption, despite their previous anti-corruption stance. He questioned Kejriwal’s commitment to temples and criticized the party’s shift in priorities.

The accusations are an aftermath of Kejriwal appearing at a Sundarkand recital with his wife, seeking blessings for India’s progress. Opposition leaders declined invitations to the Ram Temple consecration, calling it a BJP political event. AIMIM leader Owaisi compared AAP’s religious actions to BJP’s ideology, while AAP’s Bharadwaj dismissed the comparison, wishing blessings for Owaisi from Lord Hanuman.
