Law enforcement sources report that a couple from New York perished in a horrific collision at a border crossing close to Niagara Falls on Wednesday morning. After declaring that it had not discovered any proof of terrorism, the FBI turned over the investigation to local officials. Former NYC Governor Kathy Hochul said that the accident was not a terrorist attack.
One of the four bridges in the area that connects the US and Canada, the Rainbow Bridge, was the scene of the incident at roughly 11:30 a.m. According to CNN, the couple was traveling at a high rate of speed when they struck a guardrail and a curb, which caused the Bentley to go skyward and explode inside a screening booth.

Other officials in New York and Washington, DC, were also briefed on the situation, along with the leaders of both nations. As a precaution, a few local government offices on the US side were evacuated.
International flights were temporarily halted at Buffalo Niagara International Airport but were later restarted. According to a Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority spokesman, bomb-sniffing dogs inspected every automobile that entered the airport.
