US, UK Forces Shot Down 21 Houthis Drones And Missiles Over Red Sea

The US military stated that American and British forces shot down eighteen drones and three missiles launched by Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi rebels into international trade channels in the Red Sea.

In a statement, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) stated, “Iranian-backed Huthis launched a complex attack of Iranian designed one-way attack UAVs…, anti-ship cruise missiles, and an anti-ship ballistic missile from Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen into the Southern Red Sea”.

According to CENTCOM, the F/A-18 jet from the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower aircraft carrier, as well as one British and three American destroyers, shot down the drones and missiles.
