Russian Strikes On Ukraine’s Kharkiv Region Leave 10 Dead, 25 Injured

On Sunday, Russian strikes killed at least 10 people, including a pregnant lady, and injured another 25 in two separate attacks in Ukraine’s northeastern Kharkiv region.

It was the latest in a series of Russian missile and guided bomb attacks on Kharkiv and the surrounding territory in recent weeks, as Russian soldiers launched an operation in the northeast of the region.

The first strike occurred on Sunday in a leisure area just outside Kharkiv, killing five and injuring 16, while another five were killed and nine injured later that day in two villages in Kupiansk district.

Local governor Oleh Syniehubov reported that Russian forces used a self-propelled multiple rocket launcher to shell two villages in the district.

Mayor Ihor Terekhov of Kharkiv announced the death toll and number of wounded.

On Telegram, Ihor Terekhov wrote, “The explosions heard in Kharkiv around noon occurred in a nearby suburb. Two Russian missiles hit a recreation centre where people were relaxing, killing five people and injuring sixteen others”.
