PM Modi Receives Warm Welcome In Austria With ‘Vande Mataram’ Rendition

Austrian artists greeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi with a special rendition of ‘Vande Mataram’ upon his arrival at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Vienna, marking the start of his historic visit to Austria.

The prime minister’s visit comes immediately after a successful two-day trip to Russia, underscoring India’s diplomatic engagements in Europe.

PM Modi arrived in Austria on Tuesday, marking the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to the country in over four decades.

Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer extended a warm welcome to PM Modi upon his arrival at the airport, followed by a gracious reception at the luxurious Ritz-Carlton hotel.

Alongside the musical tribute, members of the Indian community in Austria also extended a heartfelt welcome to the prime minister.

During his visit, PM Modi is likely to meet Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen and engage in crucial discussions with Chancellor Nehammer aimed at bolstering bilateral ties between India and Austria.

Earlier, Chancellor Nehammer hosted PM Modi for a private dinner, emphasizing the friendly and partnership-based relationship between Austria and India.

In a social media post capturing their interaction, Chancellor Nehammer expressed his pleasure at welcoming PM Modi to Vienna, anticipating productive discussions on political and economic cooperation.

Expressing gratitude for the warm reception, PM Modi affirmed his eagerness to engage in meaningful discussions with Chancellor Nehammer, highlighting their shared commitment to global welfare and collaboration.

The visit underscores India and Austria’s mutual interests in strengthening their relationship, with a focus on navigating shared geopolitical challenges and exploring avenues for enhanced cooperation across various sectors.

As PM Modi’s visit progresses, both nations are poised to explore opportunities that will further solidify their friendship and pave the way for future collaborations in the global arena.
