Arriving in Kuwait on Saturday afternoon, PM Modi was greeted with a grand reception. The visit, initiated at the invitation of the Amir, is set to deepen India’s partnership with Gulf nations.

Shortly after his arrival, the Prime Minister visited a labour camp in the Mina Abdullah area, where he interacted with Indian workers. He inquired about their well-being and highlighted welfare initiatives introduced by the Indian government in recent years.

Later, he addressed a large gathering of the Indian diaspora at the ‘Hala Modi’ event held at Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Indoor Sports Complex. PM Modi praised the contributions of Indians in Kuwait, describing them as pivotal to the strengthening of India-Kuwait ties.

He also invited the diaspora to participate in upcoming global events, including Pravasi Bharatiya Divas and the Maha Kumbh, and emphasized India’s position as a global development hub and future growth engine.

The visit aims to fortify political and economic collaboration while enhancing cultural and people-to-people ties. PM Modi’s engagements are expected to lay the groundwork for a future-focused, mutually beneficial partnership between the two nations.
