Prime Minister Narendra Modi was greeted with a special cultural presentation upon his arrival in Bratislava, where members of The Mahadeva Kirtan Project performed devotional hymns and Sanskrit recitations.

At the conclusion of the performance, PM Modi acknowledged the artists with applause and offered the greeting, ‘Om Shanti’.

Posting on X, PM Modi lauded the group for fostering cultural understanding between the two nations. He remarked that their dedication to Indian spiritual traditions, Sanskrit chants, and devotional practices reflects the deep-rooted cultural affinity shared by India and Slovakia.

PM Modi also congratulated Marek Zilinec and the ensemble for their contribution to promoting Indian heritage abroad. He noted that such gestures demonstrate the close bonds between the people of both countries and further reinforce the friendship between India and Slovakia.

As part of the reception ceremony, Slovak hosts welcomed PM Modi with the traditional offering of bread and salt, a long-standing symbol of hospitality and goodwill in Slovakia.
