The Prime Minister is also scheduled to visit the Navashakti Vinayakar Temple in Victoria, where members of the Indian community prepared a traditional welcome ahead of his arrival. His visit coincides with Seychelles’ 50th National Day celebrations, adding to the significance of the occasion.
Community members expressed their enthusiasm over PM Modi’s visit, saying they had organised cultural programmes and made elaborate arrangements to welcome him.
Many said they would pray for his good health and continued service to India while celebrating the long-standing friendship between the two countries.
Members of the diaspora also highlighted the strong bilateral relationship between India and Seychelles and expressed hope that cooperation would continue to expand.
Some also sought greater Indian support for the development of the Navashakti Vinayakar Temple’s infrastructure.
