Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday met a select group of investors and venture capital leaders from India, France and several other countries ahead of the inauguration of the Bharat Innovates Summit in Nice.
The meeting highlighted the growing role of innovation, entrepreneurship and technology-driven partnerships in strengthening economic cooperation between nations.
By engaging directly with global investors, PM Modi reinforced India’s commitment to fostering a vibrant innovation ecosystem and attracting international investment.
The Bharat Innovates Summit, which PM Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron will jointly launch, will bring together leading startups, entrepreneurs, investors and technology experts from across the globe.
The summit aims to create new opportunities for collaboration, investment and innovation while strengthening connections between the Indian and French startup ecosystems.
The interaction comes as India and France continue to expand cooperation in emerging technologies, research, innovation and entrepreneurship under their Special Global Strategic Partnership.
Through the summit, both countries aim to encourage cross-border investments, facilitate knowledge exchange and promote stronger engagement between businesses and innovators.
During his visit to France from June 13 to 18, PM Modi will travel to Nice, Evian and Paris, reflecting the growing strategic partnership between India and France.
After arriving in Nice, Prime Minister Modi met members of the Indian diaspora and praised their strong connection with India.
The Bharat Innovates Summit is expected to boost cooperation in innovation and technology while creating new opportunities for investment, entrepreneurship and economic growth between the two countries.
