PM Modi Birthday: Putin, Meloni And Netanyahu Lead Global Greetings For Prime Minister Modi

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni led international greetings for Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 76th birthday.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Dominica Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit and several other leaders joined the messages.

Putin praised Prime Minister Modi’s contribution to strengthening the special and privileged strategic partnership between India and Russia. He described their recent discussions as substantive, frank and productive.

Putin said both countries would continue constructive cooperation on bilateral and international issues.

Giorgia Meloni wished PM Modi health, energy and success. She said Italy and India were strengthening their friendship and building greater cooperation and prosperity.

Netanyahu said Prime Minister Modi’s leadership had transformed India into a world power. He described India-Israel ties as an unprecedented partnership and said their friendship had never been stronger.

Skerrit wished PM Modi good health and continued strength in serving India.

World Health Organisation Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus thanked PM Modi for hosting the BRICS Leaders Summit and for placing health on its agenda.

Sri Lankan Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa wished PM Modi good health, happiness and fulfilling years ahead. He highlighted PM Modi’s efforts to deepen India-Sri Lanka ties.

Former Maldives Presidents Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and Mohamed Nasheed extended birthday wishes to Prime Minister Modi.

Sri Lankan High Commissioner to India Mahishini Colonné, Swiss Ambassador Maya Tissafi and former Israeli Ambassador Daniel Carmon separately conveyed their greetings.

The Embassy of the Netherlands in India recalled the strategic partnership signed during PM Modi’s May 2026 Netherlands visit.

Carmon called Prime Minister Modi a respected world leader and a friend of Israel. Tissafi highlighted opportunities for deeper Switzerland-India cooperation, while the Netherlands mission noted stronger bilateral ties.
