Pakistan PM Confirms Indian Strike On Key Air Base During ‘Operation Sindoor’

India’s precision airstrikes under Operation Sindoor have shaken Pakistan’s military establishment.

In a revelation that underscores the operation’s significance, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif admitted that the Indian Air Force struck the Nur Khan Air Base near Rawalpindi.

According to reports, Pakistan’s army chief General Asim Munir woke Sharif at 2:30 AM on the night of 9–10 May to inform him about the strike’s severity.

BJP Leader Shares The Revelation

BJP’s Amit Malviya, head of the party’s National IT Department, drew public attention to this disclosure by sharing a video and statement on X (formerly Twitter).

He described the moment as historic, stating, “Let that sink in – the Prime Minister was woken up in the middle of the night with news of strikes deep inside Pakistan.”

Malviya hailed the operation as a ‘testament to India’s military precision and boldness’, highlighting the unprecedented scale and effectiveness of the attack.

The strike on Nur Khan Air Base, formerly known as PAF Chaklala, dealt a major blow to Pakistan’s Air Mobility Command.

This key facility houses critical military aircraft, including Saab Erieye airborne warning systems, C-130 transport planes, and IL-78 refuelling tankers.

Damage to these strategic assets marks a serious setback for Pakistan’s operational readiness.

‘Operation Sindoor’: India’s Firm Response

India launched ‘Operation Sindoor’ in retaliation to a Pakistan-backed terror attack in Pahalgam.

India’s response came swiftly and decisively, with precision strikes targeting at least eight Pakistani air bases.

Reports suggest these included radar stations, aircraft shelters, and command centres, effectively crippling infrastructure across multiple locations.

Satellite imagery has revealed heavy damage- craters on runways, destroyed hangars, and shattered transport vehicles- indicating the scale of destruction.

India reportedly launched 24 missiles within a span of just 25 minutes.

The speed, coordination, and impact of the operation showcased the Indian Air Force’s advanced capabilities and strategic preparedness.

This show of force has left Pakistan reassessing its defence posture.

Global Reactions & Implications

In the aftermath of the strikes, Islamabad is reportedly considering relocating its military headquarters from Rawalpindi to Islamabad due to security concerns.

Meanwhile, defence analysts across the world have taken note of India’s successful execution of ‘Operation Sindoor’, praising its precision and strategic impact.

India’s firm response signals a shift in doctrine, where terror attacks will be met with resolute, calculated action.

The operation has also sent a strong message to adversaries and allies alike, establishing India’s position as a formidable regional power.
