A Hindu temple in Pakistan was attacked less than 24 hours after the 150-year-old Mari Mata Temple in Karachi was destroyed.
Early on Sunday, a group of attackers used “rocket launchers” to attack a Hindu temple in Kashmore, Sindh.
On Saturday, the 150-year-old Mari Mata Temple in Karachi’s Soldier Bazaar was destroyed.
The attackers in Kashmore struck a Hindu temple and nearby dwellings that were under the control of the Ghouspur police station. They shot randomly at the residences and the temple. A police team led by Kashmore-Kandhkot SSP Irfan Sammo arrived at the area after hearing gunfire.
The dacoits allegedly launched “rocket launchers” at the place of worship, according to the police. Thankfully, the shrine was deserted during the assault. According to the Dawn, the police official also said that the temple is open every year for religious services held by the Bagri community.
“After the attack, the suspects left the area. In the region, police are conducting a search operation, he said.
According to SSP Sammo, they were pursuing eight to nine gunmen in the riverine areas.
According to Suresh, a member of the Bagri village, the dacoits launched “rocket launchers.” But they did not go off, sparing no lives, the Dawn reported.
He requested the police safeguard the neighborhood, claiming the incident had caused terror among the locals.
