North Korea and Russia signed an agreement on Thursday and pledged to provide all available military aid if the other side faced armed aggression.

According to the agreement, the two countries will not sign any treaty with a third country that infringes on the interests of the other and will not allow their territories to be used by any country to harm the other’s security and sovereignty.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and Russian President Vladimir Putin met in Pyongyang on Wednesday before declaring the signing of a comprehensive strategic partnership deal.

The full wording of the agreement, which covered cooperation in nuclear energy, space exploration, food, and energy security, was revealed on Thursday by KCNA.
