North Korea Launches Cruise Missiles Into The Ocean

The South Korean military reported in the early hours of Saturday, that North Korea fired a number of cruise missiles into the sea off the Korean peninsula’s western coast.

The Joint Chiefs of Staff of South Korea stated in a statement that details of the launch are being evaluated by South Korean and US intelligence services.

On Thursday, state media KCNA disclosed that Pyongyang had carried out a simulated scorched-earth nuclear strike on targets in South Korea.

Seoul imposed sanctions on five North Korean individuals and one firm on Friday in reaction to Pyongyang’s alleged launch of a space rocket last month.
