Kyiv: Two Ukrainian Security Officials Detained for Plotting President Zelenskyy’s Assassination

Ukraine announced on Tuesday that it has apprehended two Ukrainian security personnel implicated in a scheme to assassinate high-ranking Ukrainian figures, including President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, as per AFP reports. Allegedly, these Ukrainian officials claim that Russia orchestrated the plot targeting Zelenskyy and other prominent figures. The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) stated on social media that counterintelligence operations alongside SBU investigators thwarted the plans orchestrated by Russia’s FSB to eliminate the President of Ukraine and other key members of the military and political establishment.
