On Monday, Israeli air raids on several villages and towns in southern Lebanon killed five Hezbollah fighters and injured five others.
According to the report, Israeli warplanes conducted four raids on the southwest town of Naqoura, killing two Hezbollah members and wounding three others. Israel also carried out two raids on the southeast village of Mays al-Jabal, killing two Hezbollah members and injured another, as well as a strike on the town of al-Qusayr on the Lebanese-Syrian border in eastern Lebanon, killing a Hezbollah member and injuring another.
Meanwhile, Hezbollah claimed that its fighters responded by attacking several Israeli sites.
Tensions along the Lebanon-Israel border rose on October 8, 2023, as the Lebanese military group Hezbollah launched a volley of missiles toward Israel in solidarity with Hamas’ attack on Israel on October 7. Israel then responded by firing heavy artillery at southeastern Lebanon.
The battle between Hezbollah and Israel has killed 477 persons on the Lebanese side, including 301 Hezbollah fighters and 89 civilians.
