Israeli attacks on school kills several
Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip on Sunday killed at least 10 people, according to Palestinian medical sources. Israel attacked Safad School in Gaza City’s Zeitoun neighborhood, which was sheltering displaced residents.
The attack killed six Palestinians and injured dozens more, according to Xinhua news agency, citing anonymous Palestinian medical sources. The Palestinian Civil Defense reported that the school had been evacuated after Israeli warnings of further bombardment.
Meanwhile, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) claimed that the school was being used as a Hamas command and control center.

In another incident, an Israeli drone strike targeted a civilian vehicle in Deir al-Balah, a city in central Gaza. The attack killed four people and injured several others, according to Palestinian medical sources. The IDF has not commented on this specific incident.
Israel’s large-scale offensive against Hamas in the Gaza Strip is in retaliation for a Hamas attack on the southern Israeli border on October 7, 2023, which resulted in the deaths of about 1,200 people and the capture of approximately 250 hostages.
The ongoing Israeli attacks have raised the Palestinian death toll in Gaza to 40,738, according to a statement released by Gaza-based health authorities on Sunday.
