Israel Retrieves 3 Captives’ Bodies Taken By Hamas

The Israel Defence Forces discovered the bodies of three captives who were killed by Hamas militants. Shani Louk (23), Amit Buskila (28), and Itzik Gelenter (53) were kidnapped and murdered during the October 7 attack on the Nova Music Festival.

Daniel Hagari, the IDF spokesperson, stated, “The three were brutally murdered when they tried to escape during the attack”.

Hagari claimed that their bodies were then taken into the Gaza Strip.

Israel verified the death of German-Israeli tattoo artist Louk, 23, in late October. A video circulating on social media at the time showed her half-naked body being paraded through Gaza on the back of a pick-up truck.

The 23-year-old was paraded naked in a pick-up truck after being apprehended. Shani can be seen lying face down in a pickup truck in videos posted shortly after the horrific strikes. Shani’s family believes her dreadlocks and distinctive tattoos helped them identify her.

The family of 53-year-old Gelernter, however, was in total darkness concerning his fate until Friday, according to his daughter, Yarden Pivko.

Yarden Pivko said, “We held on to hope and had a lot of faith that the end would be different”.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described the news as heartbreaking.

Benjamin Netanyahu stated, “This terrible loss is heart-breaking… We will return all of our hostages, the living and the deceased alike”.

Thousands of young people gathered on October 6 and 7 to dance to electronic music at the Nova festival, hosted near the Re’im kibbutz close to the Gaza border.

“Fighters from the terror group Hamas crossed over into Israel and killed more than 360 people at the festival”, the Israeli government reported.

The Nova festival casualties accounted for about one-third of the approximately 1,170 people killed in the October 7 attack.

Israel conducted a retaliatory operation against Hamas that has killed at least 35,303 people in Gaza.
