Israel Launches Airstrikes On Iran; Targets Missile & Intelligence Sites

The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) confirmed it launched a major airstrike campaign on Sunday against multiple military sites in Iran.

Israeli fighter jets carried out attacks on key infrastructure in the capital, Tehran and the western provinces of Kermanshah and Hamedan, targeting Iran’s missile systems and intelligence-gathering facilities.

According to the IDF, around 20 fighter jets deployed over 30 munitions during the operation, focusing on high-value strategic targets including storage depots, missile launch platforms, satellite installations, and military radar stations.

Missile site near Tehran among key targets

The IDF reported hitting a surface-to-air missile launcher near Tehran. Iranian state media also acknowledged the strikes, citing explosions east of the capital.

The affected region reportedly includes several sensitive military installations, among them the highly guarded Parchin military complex.

Civilian casualties reported in drone strike on Isfahan

In a separate incident, Israeli drones struck a civilian ambulance in Iran’s central Isfahan province, according to the Iranian state news agency ISNA.

The drone attack killed three people on board: an ambulance driver, a patient, and a companion, while the vehicle was transporting a patient through Najafabad county.

Governor Hamidreza Mohammadi Fesharaki confirmed the casualties and denounced the strike as targeting a medical transport vehicle.

Netanyahu vows to continue offensive

Earlier on Sunday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reaffirmed the country’s commitment to continue military operations in both Iran and Gaza.

“Israel will continue to operate at full tilt in both Iran and Gaza,” Netanyahu said.

“We will not stop this historic operation before we achieve our goals,” he added, stressing that Israel would not be drawn into a prolonged war of attrition.

Rising tensions between Israel & Iran fuel regional instability

This latest escalation underscores growing hostilities between Israel and Iran amid an already volatile regional climate.

As military actions intensify on multiple fronts, global observers warn that continued conflict could further destabilise the Middle East and increase the risk of broader confrontation.
