Israel: Direct Iranian Attack Requires Appropriate Response

Yoav Gallant, Israeli Defence Minister stated on Thursday that Israel would respond directly to any strike by Iran.

“A direct Iranian attack will require an appropriate Israeli response against Iran”, the Israeli Defence Minister told US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin.

According to the Pentagon, the two discussed the US’ iron-clad commitment to Israel’s security in the face of threats from Iran and its proxies.

The Pentagon went on to say that Army General Michael Erik Kurilla, the top US general for the Middle East, had been scheduled to visit Israel to meet with Israeli military authorities and address current security threats.

Kurilla has been visiting Israel frequently in recent months.
