Prime Minister Modi with President Joe Biden
India’s top envoy stated that the India-US relationship has advanced to the next level. He also stressed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit will have an influence not only on the two countries but also on other countries.
Prime Minister Modi will be in the United States from June 21 to June 24, at the invitation of US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden.
On June 22, they will host Modi at a state dinner. The visit will also feature a speech before the Joint Session of the Congress on June 22.
Indian Ambassador to the United States Taranjit Singh Sandhu said, “The relationship is now going at the next level and there are a number of aspects in this visit which are pointing towards that”.
After attending the International Yoga Day in New York, Prime Minister Modi will visit on June 21.
On June 22, he will be greeted ceremoniously at the White House, and meet US President Joe Biden to continue their high-level dialogue.
“It will also provide an opportunity for both the leaders to spend time together and discuss a number of issues that are of mutual interest”, Mr. Sandhu continued.
On the same evening, Biden and First Lady Jill Biden will host a State Dinner in honor of the prime minister.
The prime minister will address the US Congress on June 22 at the invitation of Congressional leaders.
On June 23, Vice President Kamala Harris, and Secretary of State Tony Blinken will host a luncheon for the prime minister Modi.
Mr. Sandhu stated that the State Visit is the highest level of respect and esteem that the United States can give to India and its prime minister.
“During his visit, the prime minister will meet with professionals, CEOs, and a number of other successful Americans, including Indian Americans”, Mr. Sandhu added.
