Elon Musk: Just One More Lockdown My King !

As part of the ongoing ‘Twitter Files’ report, on Sunday, Twit Chief Elon Musk took a dig at Dr Anthony Fauci, the chief medical advisor to US President Joe Biden.

Mr. Musk tweeted through his Twitter handle with a meme, which targets Biden and Fauci. The meme contained pictures of the two along with a text that read, “Just one more lockdown my king…”

He then upped his ante with a subsequent tweet, “Now things get spicy.”

NASA astronaut Scott Kelly

The tweet by the billionaire has become a target for a lot of criticism. NASA astronaut Scott Kelly wrote, ” Elon, please don’t mock and promote hate toward already marginalised and at-risk-of-violence members of the #LGBTQ+ community. They are real people with real feelings. Furthermore, Dr Fauci is a dedicated public servant whose sole motivation was saving lives.”

Mr. Musk tweeted another tweet through his Twitter handle, “My pronouns are Prosecute/Fauci.”

Musk’s tweet came close on the heels of the release of the fourth installment of the ‘Twitter Files’ that reportedly stated how the firm, prior to the billionaire’s takeover, breached its own policies to prevent the spread of accurate information pertaining to Biden’s son – Hunter Biden’s – laptop story ahead of the 2020 US Presidential election.

Anthony Faunci is set to step down from his White House role as well as the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) by the month’s end.

It also reportedly showed how top executives instrumented the ban of former president Donald Trump from the platform as well as the apparent justification for the suspension of medical experts and celebrities, who voiced their opinion against the Covid-19 vaccines.

Prior

Last month, Twitter refurbished its online rules that revealed it will no longer enforce its policy against Covid-19 misinformation raising concerns among public health experts and social media researchers that it could result in significant consequences if it downcast vaccination and other measures to tackle the still-existent virus.

Musk himself has confirmed a ‘Twitter Files’ revelation on Covid-19. In response to a Twitter user who asked when a report on the virus and information on the suspension of doctors and scientists arrive, the Twitter boss said, “Oh it is coming big-time…”

Last year, the billionaire, however, had clarified about his stand on vaccines saying he “supports” them “in general and Covid-19…specifically”. “The science is unequivocal. In very rare cases, there is an allergic reaction, but this is easily addressed with an EpiPen.”

“For the record: Dr. Fauci has done nothing wrong, except serve our nation,” tweeted vaccine scientist and professor of virology Dr. Peter Hotez.

“In the meantime, Mr. Musk should know that 200,000 Americans needlessly lost their lives from COVID due to this kind of anti-science rhetoric and disinformation,” he added. “Elon, I’m asking you to take down this Tweet.”

“Agree 100%” replied Dr. Paul Sax, director of Harvard University’s Infectious Disease Clinic.

The tweet “puts healthcare workers in danger,” said Dr. Joy Henningsen.
