The Health Ministry has provided a plan for the nutritional treatment of Israeli hostages who are scheduled to be freed by Hamas following the cease-fire deal between Israel and Hamas. A treatment guide for refeeding syndrome—a disorder brought on by increased food consumption following malnourishment—was produced by the ministry.
Infants up to one-year-old will get a ready-to-drink bottle with up to 120 ml of infant formula, such as Materna, Similac, or Nutrilon, in accordance with the guidelines. Water, unsweetened applesauce, a sweet biscuit, and tea that has been sweetened with a teaspoon of sugar will be served to children ages one to three. Water, three units of sweet biscuits, unsweetened applesauce, and a hot beverage with added sugar will be served to both adults and adolescents.

Children returning will be treated at Schneider Children’s Medical Centre; adult hostages will be admitted to Ichilov, Wolfson, Sheba, and Soroka hospitals. Security officers have been directed to give the detainees the food and liquids they require until they get to these medical facilities in order to address refeeding syndrome concerns.
The Persian Gulf state of Qatar, which stated that a new date for the deal to go into force would be revealed soon, was instrumental in mediating the situation. Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of Israel, acknowledged that he had received the first list of hostages. The appropriate authorities are currently confirming the list and keeping in touch with the families.

All military operations will temporarily stop as part of the ceasefire, and 39 Palestinian hostages are anticipated to be released and relocated to the West Bank once they enter Israeli territory. Netanyahu reaffirmed his commitment to the release of all hostages and emphasised the continued pursuit of war objectives, chief among them the elimination of Hamas.
