Indian An all-party Indian delegation, led by Shiv Sena MP Dr Shrikant Shinde, met Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahyan, UAE’s Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, in Abu Dhabi as part of India’s diplomatic outreach against terrorism following Operation Sindoor.
The delegation included prominent leaders across party lines, BJP MPs Bansuri Swaraj and Atul Garg, Rajya Sabha MP and senior advocate Manan Kumar Mishra, BJP leader SS Ahluwalia, IUML MP ET Mohammed Basheer, BJD MP Sasmit Patra, and Ambassador Sujan Chinoy.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar praised the unified effort, stating, “A nation united sends a strong message on combating terrorism.”
He highlighted the strategic importance of bipartisan diplomacy in confronting international threats.
Leading the delegation, Dr Shinde underscored the need to communicate India’s long-standing experience with cross-border terrorism.
“It is very important to give a message to the world about what India has been facing for many years, including Pakistan’s support and funding of terrorism,” he said.
Shinde added, “India and Pakistan gained independence at the same time, but while India has progressed economically, Pakistan has advanced only in terrorism.”
BJP leader SS Ahluwalia said the group would expose Pakistan’s disinformation campaign.
“We are going to tell the world the reality of what happened on April 22 and counter the false news spread by Pakistan’s propaganda machinery,” he stated.
BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj emphasised India’s resolute response to terrorism, referring to the Pahalgam terror attack. “The attack in Pahalgam was a blow to the soul of India. PM Modi and our armed forces responded decisively through Operation Sindoor. The PM has made it clear that terror and talks cannot go together,” she said.
Swaraj said the ‘Nation First’ delegation will firmly present India’s stance abroad.
The UAE visit is part of a global mission by seven all-party delegations to key nations.
These delegations aim to reflect India’s national consensus and unyielding stance against terrorism in all its forms.
After the April 22 Pahalgam attack, India launched precision strikes on terror sites in Pakistan and PoK.
