Student Dies Under Suspicious Circumstances At National Law University In Lucknow

Lucknow, Sep 1: A student has died under suspicious circumstances at Ram Manohar Lohia National Law University in Lucknow. The body of 19-year-old Anika Rastogi was found lying on the floor in her hostel room, prompting immediate action from authorities.

Deceased Student Identified as IPS Officer’s Daughter

Anika Rastogi, a third-year LLB student, was the daughter of IPS officer Santosh Rastogi, who serves as IG at NIA Delhi. The police arrived quickly after receiving the report and sealed the hostel room. Rastogi was taken to the hospital in an unconscious state but was declared dead upon arrival.

Cause of Death Still Unknown; Investigation Underway

The cause of Anika Rastogi’s death remains unclear. The Ashiana police have sent the body for a postmortem examination. It is reported that when Rastogi did not open her room door at night, her friends broke in and transported her to the hospital. The investigation into her death is ongoing.
