This Man literally Forgot About a Swallowed Nailcutter; Finally Got It Removed After 8 Years

Doctors took necessary X-ray of a 38-year-old as he complained about abdomen pain. Well in that necessary test, doctors found a really shocking object. Well, it was nail cutter. The shock doesn’t end here, in further dealing with the doctors, the man gave a 440-megawatt shock to doctors when he said this. He revealed that he actually swallowed a nailcutter about 8 years ago and eventually forgot it.  He forgot a nailcutter inside his body as if it was his nail biting habit that he forgot.

It all happened long back in…

The man explained the incident in front of media. He expressed, “When I was 30, my parents had put me into a rehabilitation centre for alcoholism, where I could not endure the torture. In anger, I swallowed the nail-cutter and informed the centre staff. They asked me to eat a couple of bananas and it would come out during motion. I assumed that it had gone out… I remembered it when only doctors questioned me about swallowing any object.” Ramesh led a typical life after leaving the rehabilitation facility.

“For all these years, I did not tell my parents or sisters assuming they would scold me. Even after marriage I did not inform my wife as there was no pain and I just forgot about it,” said Ramesh.

The rarest case wher man swallowed nailcutter

Dr. Lohith U, Consultant for Surgical gastroenterology, Bariatric, and GI Oncology at Manipal hospital said, “this was one the rarest cases that I have come across. It is a regular size nail cutter that adults use… Since the patient had undergone two abdomen surgeries previously, there were multiple adhesions in his gastrointestinal tract, which could have been one reason that favoured the lodgment of the nail cutter in the intestine… The procedure was carried out with great precision.”

“Had he visited any airport or had undergone an MRI scan, there could have been chances that the patient would have suffered internal injuries as the machines carry magnetic waves,” said Dr Lohith.

Doctors noted that the nail-cutter they extracted from Ramesh’s body was corroded because it had been within him for eight years.
