Reynolds 045 is to be sold
Reynolds, a manufacturer of pens, has provided clarification following a viral post on X (previously Twitter) that said the business was abandoning its renowned ball pen, the 045.
Because of its cost and durability, the Reynolds 045 fine carburetor pen, sometimes known as the Sachin Tendulkar pen, has become a common household item in India. The pencil pouch of practically every student and teacher contained a white body and blue cap. Even after being on the market for many years, the pen continues to enjoy unmatched popularity.
However, a post on X by a user going by the handle “90skid” now claims that Reynolds is ceasing production of the venerable ballpoint pen. End of an era: Reynolds 045 Fine Carbure will no longer be sold in stores. Read the article published on Thursday.
Many people who still use the pen and have pleasant recollections of it were undoubtedly shocked by this revelation. On the microblogging website, several people expressed their shock and recalled how it used to be the standard pen, while others stated they would purchase a number of them to keep as a memento of the good old days.
“Why? I have many happy childhood memories involving this pen. Still superior to many new pens,” a user commented. “Such horrible news. I used this pen for my eighth through tenth papers before switching to Reynolds Jetter. Back to 045 in 6 months,” added another.
Reynolds, however, was eager to respond to the widely circulated report and make it clear that there are no intentions to withdraw the 045 ballpoint pen. Reynolds posted on Facebook, saying, “We wish to clarify: The information being spread is untrue. In light of recent misinformation.
