Rapido provided a ride for a Bengaluru-based software engineer, who received a pleasant surprise when his designated rider showed up on a Royal Enfield Hunter motorcycle. The surprise meeting didn’t end there, though, as it turned out that the Rapido captain was also a software developer with a passion for motorcycles.
Nishit Patel shared his extraordinary experience on the microblogging site X by recounting his unusual meeting. He explained how he had set up Rapido transportation for his trip to a meetup for Kubernetes.
Not simply the expensive motorbike that showed up for the trip, but also the discovery that the Rapido skipper was a DevOps expert employed by a firm in charge of managing business Kubernetes clusters, made the experience genuinely extraordinary. Evidently, in the center of Indian technology, this incident seemed to be simply another typical day.
“The wild Peak Bengaluru moment I had today will blow your mind! My Rapido captain drew up next to a Royal Enfield Hunter as I was heading to a Kubernetes meetup. It transpires that he works as a DevOps engineer for a firm that oversees enterprise Kubernetes clusters. Just another day in the IT hub of India,” he wrote.
The incident amused Twitter users to the point where it received more than 6,000 views. Numerous users discussed the issue in interesting comments.
One user questioned, “Did you ask about his turnover from the side business?” Nishit Patel replied, “Nah, now that I think about it, I should have asked him.”
