Punjab's 'Kulhad Pizza' Couple
A couple from Punjab, known for their unique “Kulhad Pizza” business, has come forward with claims of facing political pressure to settle a case involving a controversial video that allegedly portrays them in a compromising position. The couple, who run the food cart in Jalandhar, gained popularity for serving pizza in earthen cups.
Sehaj Arora, the owner of the food cart, expressed concern over the situation, particularly given that his wife recently gave birth and is reportedly suffering from depression. He took to social media to share his plea for support from their followers.
In a heartfelt message on Facebook and Instagram, Sehaj Arora stated, “Appeal to media and the public… I don’t have the courage to give interviews and make videos again and again. Don’t ruin our image by giving fake statements without any evidence.”
He went on to reveal that they are feeling pressured to settle the case due to political influence. He claims to possess evidence supporting their innocence. The couple also clarified that they lack political support and are relying on public support to halt the spread of the controversial videos on the internet and seek justice.
The controversial footage allegedly featuring the couple went viral earlier in the month. Mr. Arora promptly denounced it as fake and filed a police complaint. In a video recorded outside a police station, he explained that someone had sent them the purportedly fake video on Instagram and demanded money. Upon refusing to comply, the video was circulated online.
In a subsequent video released on Friday, Mr. Arora provided further insights into the challenges he and his wife have faced due to the controversy. He also claimed that the woman responsible for blackmailing them had been arrested.
