PhysicsWallah Teacher Beaten By Student
In the midst of a live-streaming session, a teacher from the edtech company PhysicsWallah was physically attacked with slippers by a student. Another student who was attending the live class captured it and shared it online.
In the nine-second viral video, a teacher is seen leading a lesson in front of a blackboard when he is suddenly attacked by a pupil, who strikes him twice with a slipper.
Since it was shared by multiple accounts, the video has received thousands of views.
What sparked the confrontation is unclear
An instructor with the edtech company apologized last month after using a casteist slur during an online presentation. In a video message posted to its official X (previously Twitter) account, Physics Wallah emphasized that inclusion is one of the company’s fundamental values and provided a link to the teacher, Manish Raj.
Raj was heard asking, “Why did I even choose this profession?” in a video clip that went viral. I regret having to do this (teach) at times. It would have been great if you had turned me into a C****r, God. I’d have worn shiny shoes. My life would have been tranquil then,” he claimed.
“We sincerely regret and apologize for the offensive comments made by one of our teachers that offended the Dalit community. The worried instructor has officially apologized. Promoting inclusion is one of our major beliefs, so we’ll make sure it doesn’t happen again, the Noida-based business added in a subsequent post.

A Physics Wallah instructor named Pankaj Sijairya accused three other teachers, Tarun Kumar, Manish Dubey, and Sarvesh Dixit, of accepting bribes in March of this year. The professors left the platform, claiming disagreements with the Alakh Pandey-led company’s goal and complaining that the environment was unwelcoming to pupils.
