A recent video shared by Lahore-based influencer Nouman Hassan has ignited a social media storm. In the footage, a confident young boy is seen walking a tiger around a house, firmly holding the creature’s chain. Hassan shared this astonishing video on his Instagram account, and within just five days, it garnered 36.5 million views and 1.7 million likes.
The viral video captures the young boy attempting to walk a tiger, initially with the big cat appearing calm. However, the situation takes a sudden turn as the tiger snaps at the boy, causing him distress. Swift intervention by a man wielding a stick issues a threat to the tiger, prompting a visible reaction from the creature.
Hassan regularly posts videos showcasing his private collection of animals, which includes tigers, snakes, and crocodiles. While he has not made any statements about the boy in the video, some social media users have claimed that the boy is Hassan’s nephew.
The video has sparked a wave of reactions on social media, with one user criticizing it as “ridiculous” and another deeming it “the most idiotic act of human intelligence.” Concerns have been raised about the danger of being in proximity to a predatory animal.
Hassan also owns lions in his private collection, obtained from an auction conducted by the Lahore Safari Zoo in August of the previous year. The zoo auctioned off a dozen lions and tigers to create space and reduce expenses for meat.

During the auction, Hassan mentioned purchasing “two to three lions,” emphasizing that it was a means to diversify the gene pool for private collectors who already possessed big cats. Hassan, along with other owners of these large felines, frequently shares images and videos on social media and rents them out for movies and photoshoots.
