In Gurugram, a young man’s highly anticipated online date, filled with hope of creating lasting memories, turned into a distressing experience. This unfortunate incident unfolded during a Bumble rendezvous. The man, Rohit Gupta, reported that a woman he met on the dating app, who went by the names Sakshi and Payal, allegedly drugged him at his DLF Phase 4 residence. She then disappeared, taking with her his mobile phone, valuable gold jewelry, and siphoning off a substantial sum of ₹1.78 lakh from his bank accounts, as reported by local police.
Gupta shared in his official complaint that he had met the woman through Bumble, and she claimed to have roots in Delhi while currently residing with her aunt in Gurugram. On October 1, she called him and expressed a desire to meet. Around 10 pm, she asked him to pick her up from near Dockyard Bar in Sector 47. He obliged and then purchased liquor from a nearby shop before heading to his house with her.
Once at his residence, the woman requested him to fetch some ice from the kitchen. During his absence, she allegedly spiked his drink with a drug. The effects of the drug were so severe that Gupta woke up on the morning of October 3, only to find the woman had vanished. Along with her, his gold chain, an iPhone 14 Pro, ₹10,000 in cash, and his credit and debit cards were missing.
Shocking for Gupta, he discovered that ₹1.78 lakh had been withdrawn from his credit and debit cards. The woman is still at large, but the police have booked her at Sector 29 Police Station.
