Users of Gmail, take note! Google just revealed that it will begin removing dormant Gmail accounts starting in December 2023, so check if it’s been a long since you checked in. Google policy states that accounts that are not used for two years will be removed.

Google stated, “If a Google Account has not been used or signed into for at least 2 years, we may delete the account and its contents.” This includes information from Google Workspace, which consists of Google Photos, Calendar, Meet, Docs, Drive, and Gmail.

Google suggests doing some easy measures to keep your account from being deleted. Before deleting your account, they will send several reminders to the recovery email you gave as well as the email address associated with your account.
