A week after four lions mauled a guy at a zoo in the same state, a 20-year-old man was recently badly hurt by a lion in the Punjab province of Pakistan while attempting to take a photo with the big cat. The event happened at a Lok Mela (fair) in Sargodha city, around 200 kilometers from Lahore, that was sponsored by the government’s Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA), according to police on Wednesday.
The lion took the man, named as Muhammad Amin, by the arm and began to claw him as he approached the huge cat’s cage. After suffering severe injuries, Mr. Amin was taken to the hospital, where his status is listed as critical.
