Jio: The biggest cricket event, the ICC Cricket World Cup, is set to begin in India next month. Fans have already made arrangements for tickets to watch the matches in the stadiums. Those who couldn’t secure tickets are preparing to watch the matches on TV and smartphones. However, internet connectivity has been a concern while watching live matches on smartphones. But now, there is good news for digital viewers. According to a report, Reliance Jio has increased download speeds in and around stadiums during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.
Jio’s download speed is 61.7Mbps, according to the report, which is twice as fast as Bharti Airtel and 3.5 times faster than Vodafone Idea. Additionally, Jio’s 5G download speed averages 334.5Mbps. In terms of 5G network performance during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 in stadiums, Jio is at the top. More than 50% of Jio’s 5G users spend their time on the 5G network, which is significantly higher than Airtel’s 20.7%.
In the survey, Jio also stands at the top in 23 out of 40 cities, offering over-the-top (OTT) voice services like JioWhatsapp, Skype, and Facebook Messenger. In the live video streaming chart, Jio is at the top in 23 out of 40 cities, while Airtel is ahead in 22, and Vodafone is ahead in 15 cities. It’s worth noting that the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 will begin in India on October 5th, with matches taking place in 10 stadiums. Reliance Jio’s impressive download speeds and 5G availability make it a strong competitor in the telecom market.
