Influencer Sakshi Shivdasani Called This Mumbai Signature Dish ‘Trash’; Netizens Shower Comments

If you are from Bombay or have visited the city even on a small stay, you are probably already aware of the famous “vada pav” that the city is known for. A tasty street-style snack consists of crispy Aloo Bonda smothered in buttery soft pav buns with savory and spicy chutneys. This specialty is available for consumption at any time of day, including for high tea, breakfast, and lunch. The snack was labeled “trash” by Sakshi Shivdasani, an influencer based in Mumbai which has left a lot of internet users disappointed.

Speaking on the program “Having Said That” was Sakshi Shivdasani, an Instagram content creator with more than four lakh followers. “Vada Pav is trash. I hate Vada Pav from the bottom of my heart,” she said. Explaining the reason, she added, “There’s no way you think boiled potato and bread makes sense.”

The show’s host mentioned that potatoes are served on a Pav after they have been boiled and then fried. After a while, chutney is added. The influencer went on to say that the snack is not “unique” when chutney is added.

The hosts of the show argue over the snack and talk about its “vibes” and worth. In closing, Ms. Shivdasani stated that Samosa Pav is superior to Vada Pav in her opinion.
