Disturbing Video of Live Worms Being Stuffed into Momos Goes Viral, Sparks Internet Disgust

For those who enjoy momos, a peculiar video has surfaced that may not meet their expectations. A rather unusual video has been shared on the Instagram account “Chinese Street Food 2023,” where a man is seen filling momo dumplings with creatures that closely resemble worms. These live creatures are inserted into the dumplings, which are then steamed and one is eventually opened to reveal the cooked contents. This post has garnered significant attention and engagement on social media.

Users have left various comments on the video. One user expressed their disapproval by stating, “I find Chinese food really bothersome.” Another commenter questioned the choice, saying, “We have plenty of other delicious options to eat, so why go for this? I can’t even watch this properly, let alone eat it.” A third user simply wrote, “I feel like vomiting.”

One user linked this unusual food to the perception of Chinese cuisine, commenting, “It’s no wonder the Chinese seem perpetually upset; such food can drive people mad.” In contrast, another user humorously declared, “No thanks, I’m sticking with pizza.”

Meanwhile, in an alarming incident, a woman from Chandigarh discovered a live worm in her chicken dish. Ranjot Kaur, a Chandigarh resident, visited Chili’s restaurant in Elante Mall and came across a “live worm” in her Chipotle Chicken Rice, which she had almost finished eating.

Kaur alleged that she found either a moth larva or a worm in her dish, highlighting the importance of food safety and quality control in restaurants.
