Many of us may have seen the Ayushmann Khurrana film Bala, which depicts the struggles bald men face and how a loved one leaves them after learning of their baldness. Well, something similar occurred in the village of Bajaura in the Gaya district of Bihar. During the wedding ceremonies, the bride’s family beat the groom for reportedly trying to hide his baldness.
On social media, a video of the entire incident that shows the man being slapped and verbally abused by the family while pleading with folded hands went viral. During the wedding ceremony, the groom was wearing a wig, but the bride’s family noticed it and pulled off his hair, angering them over the lie.
The incident’s video, which was posted to Twitter, quickly gained popularity online.
In spite of the groom’s continuous pleading for pardon, the bride’s family complained to the village leaders. According to accounts, the incident was handled at the panchayat level without the involvement of the police.
The bride’s family was also incensed to learn that the groom was trying to get married a second time while still legally married to his first wife, according to the First Post.

In Karnataka, a recent wedding was called off when the bride expressed her discomfort with the groom touching her neck during the ceremonial garlanding.
The bride from Moodukonaje and the groom from Naravi were required to exchange garlands as part of the wedding customs. The bride, however, abruptly pushed the garland away as her husband was placing it around her neck and left the bridal hall. This was viewed as an insult by the groom’s family, who called off the wedding.
