According to reports, iOS 18 is a “ambitious” release with a ton of AI features

The next iPhone operating system is currently being developed by Apple. According to a recent Bloomberg story, iOS 18, which is scheduled for release in late 2024, is seen as a “ambitious update” that would probably bring new generative AI-based features and capabilities to iPhones.

According to a previous report from Bloomberg, the business put a temporary halt to the development of iOS 18 in order to address significant bugs with iOS 17. Refocusing on iOS 18, which is anticipated to bring generative AI capabilities to iPhones, akin to what Google is doing with Pixel handsets, is what the business is reportedly doing at the moment.

The article also emphasizes how the iPhone 16 hardware will not significantly improve upon the iPhone 15, meaning that the iOS 18 update will be especially special. By providing an extensive feature-rich software experience, Cupertino hopes to make up for this. Numerous new features are anticipated for watch iOS 11, macOS 15, and iOS 18, in addition to watch iOS 18. According to reports, Apple is putting more of an emphasis on quality this time around to ensure a flawless launch experience.

It is said that Apple develops their software in phases. The first phase is referred to as M1, and the subsequent iteration is named M2. Before revealing the new operating system at its yearly developer’s conference, known as WWDC, which is typically held in June each year, the business must accomplish four such objectives.

When iOS 17 was released in September, it had a lot of problems. Subsequently, the business has been resolving these difficulties through software upgrades and has tackled significant issues like overheating of the iPhone 15 Pro series, troubles with NFC, and unpredictable restarts.
