Indian-Origin Man In Texas Calls Blinkit’s 10-Minute Delivery ‘Mind-Blowing’

A Texas-based Indian-origin professional, Bilawal Sidhu, expressed his astonishment at Blinkit’s 10-minute delivery model, calling it ‘mind-blowing’.

His post on X (formerly Twitter) quickly struck a chord with users around the world, crossing over one million views in just a short span of time.

‘My Mind is Blown’, Writes Sidhu

In his post, Sidhu shared his surprise after learning about the service, “So India has this app called Blinkit, where you can get literally anything delivered in 10 minutes. My mind is blown.”

The statement, although brief, captured the attention of both Indian and international audiences. Many admired the idea of lightning-fast deliveries, while Indians in metro cities treated it as everyday convenience.

Sidhu went further to explain how the company manages to deliver at such speed.

When curious users asked if the claim was even possible, he clarified that Blinkit uses a system similar to the cloud kitchen model.

Instead of restaurants, however, it relies on ‘dark stores’ strategically located across the city to fulfil orders quickly.

Answering a sceptical user who asked, “Literally anything? Anything in a convenience store?” Sidhu replied: “Yeah, pretty much! Also, groceries and electronic stuff too, depending on where in the city you are.”

Social Media Reactions

The post drew mixed reactions online. Many users outside India expressed disbelief, while others marvelled at how far India’s quick commerce industry had evolved in such a short time.

For urban Indians, though, Sidhu’s amazement seemed almost amusing, as they considered such convenience part of daily life.

Still, the viral conversation highlighted how India’s rapid adoption of digital services continues to surprise those who are not living in the country.

The rise of Blinkit and similar platforms reflects the broader transformation of India’s retail and logistics sector, where innovation and consumer demand are driving unprecedented changes.
