Delhi-NCR Weather: IMD Predicts Rain, Thunderstorms Today

Delhi and neighbouring areas could see another day of unsettled weather on Wednesday, with overcast skies and periodic showers likely across the region.

Temperatures may remain relatively moderate, with the mercury expected to stay near 25 degrees Celsius in the morning and rise to around 32 degrees Celsius during the day.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light to moderate rainfall at several locations, while isolated pockets may record heavy showers.

Lightning and thunderstorms could develop from the early morning hours until noon, with another round of light rain possible from afternoon to evening.

Noida residents may experience cloudy conditions accompanied by intermittent rainfall. The city could record a minimum temperature of around 25 degrees Celsius and a maximum of nearly 32 degrees Celsius.

Gurugram may remain under thick cloud cover, with occasional showers expected in different parts of the city. Some locations could receive heavier rain along with thunderstorms.

Ghaziabad will likely witness cloudy skies and recurring showers through the day. Temperatures could fluctuate between 25 and 31 degrees Celsius, with thundershowers possible.

Faridabad may similarly experience rain and overcast weather, while humid conditions could persist. The IMD expects one or two spells of rain or thundershowers in the city.

Several parts of Delhi-NCR received rainfall on Tuesday after the IMD placed multiple areas under an orange alert.

The weather agency’s nowcast included Ghaziabad and parts of Central, North and South Delhi.

Delhi continued to record ‘satisfactory’ air quality.

Among the listed monitoring stations, JNU recorded an AQI of 69, while Wazirpur registered the highest reading at 182. Other locations reported AQI levels within this range.
