Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL) has expanded into the ice cream segment with the introduction of its new brand, Bombay Creamery.
The company has set an introductory price starting at Rs 10, positioning the products as an affordable choice for consumers.
Bombay Creamery will be available in a variety of formats, including cones, cups, tubs, bars and sticks.
The brand has launched initially in western India, and RCPL plans to expand its reach across the country.
RCPL uses real dairy cream to make the ice cream and aims to offer premium quality at an affordable price.
Bombay Creamery targets consumers who want dairy-based ice cream at competitive prices.
RCPL Director T Krishnakumar said the brand aims to preserve the authentic dairy character of ice cream. He added that Bombay Creamery aims to give Indian families an enjoyable product at an affordable price.
The launch marks RCPL’s first move into the ice cream category as the company continues to strengthen its FMCG portfolio.
As the consumer products arm of Reliance Industries, RCPL has been expanding its presence through new brands and product offerings.
