Residents of Delhi NCR can expect a spell of pleasant weather as light rainfall is likely between March 19 and 21, according to the India Meteorological Department. The showers are expected to provide relief from rising temperatures and improve air quality levels in the region.
On March 18, the weather is likely to remain clear, with temperatures around 33°C during the day and 16°C at night. From March 19 onwards, conditions will turn partly cloudy, with chances of light rain or thundershowers.
Day temperatures may drop to 28–29°C, while night temperatures are expected to remain between 16°C and 17°C.
On March 21, skies are expected to remain generally cloudy with continued chances of light rainfall.
Weather conditions are likely to stabilise from March 22, with partly cloudy to clear skies returning.
The India Meteorological Department said temperatures will remain stable this week, offering continued relief from heat.
Widespread rainfall, thunderstorms, and gusty winds are expected across several regions.
States like Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya may see steady rain, while Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Jammu and Kashmir could receive heavy showers.
Hailstorms are also likely in Punjab, Haryana, and Rajasthan.
Air quality has improved across parts of Delhi due to changing weather conditions.
