Tesla Opens First Bengaluru Experience Centre; Launches Model YL In India

Tesla, backed by billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk, on Thursday inaugurated its first experience centre in Bengaluru’s Whitefield district, marking another significant milestone in the electric vehicle manufacturer’s India expansion strategy.

The new facility, situated in Bengaluru’s prominent technology corridor, will allow customers to explore Tesla’s Model Y and the newly launched Model YL.

The company has priced the premium electric SUV lineup from Rs 61.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

Tesla also introduced its after-sales service network in Whitefield to strengthen customer support and ownership experience as electric vehicle adoption continues to accelerate across India.

According to the company, the six-seater Model YL delivers a driving range of up to 681 kilometres under WLTP standards.

The electric SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in nearly five seconds, reflecting Tesla’s focus on performance-oriented mobility.

The Model YL additionally offers cargo space of up to 2,539 litres and includes a spacious three-row seating configuration designed for families seeking enhanced comfort and practicality.

Tesla stated that both Model Y variants secured top safety ratings from leading international agencies, including NHTSA and IIHS in the United States, Euro NCAP in Europe, and ANCAP in Australia and New Zealand.

The company further highlighted that Tesla Supercharging technology can provide up to 288 kilometres of driving range within just 15 minutes of charging. Tesla also confirmed home-charging support for Indian customers.

Orders for the Model YL have commenced through Tesla’s official website.

Besides Bengaluru, Tesla currently operates experience centres in Mumbai’s BKC, Delhi Aerocity and Gurugram.
