Is This Apple’s Biggest AI Upgrade Yet? WWDC 2026 Unveils Smarter Siri

Apple unveiled a range of software innovations at its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2026, led by the next generation of Apple Intelligence and a completely redesigned Siri AI.

The company aims to make its devices smarter, faster and more intuitive while maintaining strong user privacy protections.

The new technologies will power iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, watchOS 27, visionOS 27 and tvOS 27.

Apple said the updates will improve performance, enhance usability and deliver more personalised experiences across its ecosystem.

During the keynote, Craig Federighi highlighted the company’s focus on empowering users through advanced software capabilities. He said Apple is introducing a more intelligent Siri AI, expanding family safety features and making its platforms more reliable and enjoyable to use.

Built on a privacy-focused architecture, Apple Intelligence makes Siri more capable and context-aware.

Siri can understand on-screen content, search across apps and access the web to provide relevant answers.

Apple Intelligence also enhances apps such as Photos, Safari, Image Playground, Messages and Mail. New parental controls help families manage app access, contacts and content safety for children.

Apple Watch updates include Siri-recommended apps, a new Smart Stack gesture and a unified Find My app for tracking devices, items and people.

The new features are now available to developers for testing, with a public beta release scheduled for next month.
