The countdown for Apple’s September event has begun, and all eyes are on the high-end iPhone 17 Pro Max.
Reports suggest Apple may reserve some exclusive features for the Pro Max model, even as the iPhone 17 Pro series receives significant upgrades.
Along with new features, rumours suggest the company will increase prices across the lineup, making the Pro models even more expensive in several markets.
According to leaks, Apple may price the iPhone 17 Pro Max at ₹1,64,990 in India for the base 256GB variant, marking a sharp increase from the iPhone 16 Pro Max’s ₹1,44,990 price tag.
In the US, the device is expected to cost around $1,249, while in Dubai, prices may range between AED 5,299 and AED 6,999. If confirmed, these figures indicate a steep price hike for the upcoming flagship.
The iPhone 17 Pro Max will reportedly run on Apple’s new A19 Pro chip, which promises faster CPU, GPU, and NPU performance. The device may also feature 12GB of RAM, enhancing multitasking and efficiency.
Apple will introduce a 48MP telephoto lens capable of up to 8x zoom, significantly improving photography capabilities. The selfie camera may also get a major upgrade from 12MP to 24MP, delivering sharper and more detailed images.
For the first time, Apple may equip the iPhone 17 Pro Max with a vapour cooling system.
This technology will improve heat dissipation during intensive tasks such as gaming, video editing, and extended usage.
Reports suggest Apple will redesign the Pro Max with an expanded camera bar and introduce new Orange and Dark Blue colour options.
Unlike the iPhone 16 Pro models, Apple may move away from titanium and bring back an aluminium frame for the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
The iPhone 17 Pro Max may ship with a larger battery for longer usage. In addition, iOS 26 could introduce an AI-powered battery-saving mode, giving users extra hours of performance when needed.
