Airtel is revising its postpaid plans from October 8, 2026, with monthly tariffs set to increase by up to Rs 50.
The company will, however, add a complimentary international roaming benefit that customers can use once every year.
According to Airtel, the company will shift existing postpaid subscribers to the nearest higher-priced plan within around a month.
The company values the new annual roaming benefit at approximately Rs 2,000.
The free roaming pack will include 5GB of mobile data, 60 minutes of outgoing calls, 25 outgoing SMS and incoming SMS benefits. It will remain valid for five days and can be activated at any point during the year based on a customer’s travel plans.
Customers on family postpaid plans will receive the complimentary roaming benefit for each member covered under their plan.
Alongside the new roaming benefit, Airtel will retain existing offerings with its revised postpaid plans. These include unlimited data, Fast Lane technology and network-level protection against spam and fraudulent links.
Subscribers will continue to receive entertainment subscriptions and other benefits through the Airtel Postpaid Advantage Club.
The programme provides access to experiences such as comedy shows, movie premieres and concerts.
The tariff revision increases the monthly cost for Airtel postpaid customers, but the company is positioning the annual international roaming pack as an added benefit, particularly for subscribers who travel overseas.
With the changes taking effect from October 8, Airtel is seeking to enhance the overall value of its postpaid offerings while introducing higher tariffs across its plans.
